Dr. Laura Stout

Dr. Laura Stout is an experienced and effective educational leader with a teaching, counseling, principal, and cabinet executive leadership background. She has a proven track record of success over a career of 26 years. She was part of the original cabinet leadership team that improved Houston ISD during the first year of the transformational and historic district takeover by the Texas Education Agency.

Dr. Stout has the ability to train, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams to meet and exceed educational objectives, build and maintain schools conducive to high educational achievement and safety, develop strong instructional leadership teams, and foster a culture of high expectations and urgency for student improvement.

As a mother of five adopted children, her work in education is deeply personal and important to her, fueling her passion for creating opportunities and better outcomes for all students.
